Andre Villas-Boas not feeling pressure

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has stated that he is not feeling under pressure at the club, despite a slow start to his managerial tenure in north London.

A 3-1 win over Reading in the side’s last game gave the Portuguese trainer his first victory in the White Hart Lane hotseat, after three disappointing early results.

Despite a media frenzy brewing up, Villas-Boas is not feeling the heat and is determined to lead Spurs to a successful campaign.

“It is not true that in recent weeks I have felt the pressure of the club,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport, translated to English by Sky Sports.

“On the contrary: I have a daily relationship with chairman Levy. We survey the development of our programmes in perfect harmony.

“Now I feel great at Tottenham where I can work on a new project,” he concluded.

Spurs open their Europa League campaign against Lazio at home on Thursday night.
